The Dream Stone you get from Oak allows you to advance the plot by going to sleep and dreaming about Lotus Land Story's extra stage location. You normally wouldn't have any idea to do this, but Aichiya actually tells you to do this in his FAQ.

Remember when I said the game fades to black every time it's implied you're explaining the game's plot to somebody, and then they repeat the plot back to you? I guess I should mention that this is actually Mugetsu and Gengetsu due to the fact we're in some random dream world. Mugetsu acts all coy about the tome, and then we battle them for more information.

Zero Elly is arbitrary and mediocre. Why does she get a Zero form when she doesn't have a Last Word form? It's not because she's a WL starter, since Luize and Kurumi don't get official Z/L forms. Why is she Normal typed? EX Elly at least boasted a mean STAB Cross Chop with Suction Cups, but here it's just yet another thing with high attacking stats and bulk.

It's bad when you say something with 990 BST is mediocre.

Instead of doing something brutal with the moveset, the AI just mindlessly spams Spark instead and neuters itself because it was presented an Overheat move. She can apparently TM Heart Break, why not just give her Leaf Blade/Flamethrower/Psychic/Heart Break so she doesn't absorb her offensive stats? It would make her Salac an actual threat.

We were told to go to Youkai Mountain so we can have a terrible Sanae sequence, and this is on the way to Youkai Mountain. We don't need to be reminded about the plot every ten minutes of game time, it just leaves us saying "yes yes I GET IT ALREADY" in between sighs.

It's a waterfall. Specifically, it's roughly 22 seconds of waterfall. I kind of get why this scene is here considering MOF Stage 4 was a beautifully designed stage where the player is flying up a huge waterfall and avoiding torrents of bullets, but you cannot capture something like that with.. this. Just give us a five second waterfall or something and be done with it.

How do you screw up this badly? Why does Sanae's overworld sprite have gigantic breasts by OW sprite standards? Why does it have no walk cycle? Why are we here? We weren't given any reason to want to come here other than the plot demanding it, and the plot didn't even say "HEY MAYBE THERE'S A TOME HERE!!!!!" or whatever shoehorned reason it could come up with to send us here. The closest thing there is to a reason for being here is "it happened in one of the Windows games" and that is not a very good reason to me.
